Another Adult Stem Cell Success--And It Makes the New York Times!
Skin stem cells have been used to grow blood vessels. The good news just keeps on coming.
This WEB log considers issues involving assisted suicide/euthanasia, bioethics, human cloning, biotechnology, and the dangers of animal rights/liberation. My views expressed here, as in my books and other writings, reflect my understanding that the philosophy of human exceptionalism is the bedrock of universal human rights. Or, to put it another way: human life matters. (The opinions expressed here are my own and not necessarily those of any organization with which I am affiliated.)

Hi - the Ap reporter Marilynn Marchione reported on this matter in the Courant (Connecticut's newspaper) on November 16.
In that piece, she re-phrased the ethical statement to read: "This method does not involve stem cells and therefore is not politically or ethically contentious."
Doesn't that dodge entirely the idea of adult stem cells, and their advances?
Why are the AP reporters trying to circumvent the obvious - that adult stem cells work, are available, and offer the best solutions to medical conditions...all without killing others.
I hope that one day they can all actually use the words: 'adult stem cells' and sound positive!!
