And Now: Jesse Jackson Against Terri's Dehydration
Jesse Jackson has publicly urged that Terri Schiavo be allowed to live. Ralph Nader, Jesse Jackson, unanimous consent of the United States Senate, half the Democratic Caucus in the House of Representatives. Clearly: This isn't a right versus left controversy, this is a matter of casting aside human rights in favor of dehumaninization.

During the 30 years plus that I taught 5th Grade, I would often ask my class of 35,
"Boys and girls, if 1 = 0 what does 35 = ?" A wrong answer got an "F Grade."
If they said,"Zero," they got an "A."
America's human value system is based on the value of each Individual person; One.
If One equals Zero what will 160 million be worth?
Abortion/cannibalism is devaluing each and every individual in our Country including you
and me -- and each One in our families -- and each Individual American.
Terri is now being used to teach that each individual is in further jeopardy. She is being
placed there by law. Law which is minimal in describing human behavior and worth in a
civilized society.
Law raises no maxim high standard but only a minimum of acceptance -- not the highest.
Ethics and morality are higher standards which are not being used in Terri's protection
because lawyers and judges revere law as the highest standard -- when it is not. It is the
least standard. "Grade: F "
"Woe unto you lawyers and judges!" Your stewardship before The Creator is non-existent.
The Lord God will not be mocked. As you sow you will reap. Legalists are individuals and
will be weighed in the balances of their own choosing.
Observe.......Behold!
I have been following the Terri's saga for years. As the mother of a severely head injured son, I am afraid of the ramifications of this action. I was proud when congress and our president stepped in. I was appalled when our justice system ignored them. I will protect my son as long as I live, but what becomes of him when I am no longer alive? I am a Florida resident, and this event has me ready to move him to a safer state. I am a democrat, and this issue should not be partisan. My son is human, is loved, and is worthy of his life.
Thank you both for your comments. James, I like your comment about if 1 person = zero, what are the rest of us worth?
Cynthia: Everyone must be considered fully human, as is your son, otherwise, none of us will remain human. You are right: This isn't a partisan issue or a matter of left versus right. It is a human rights issue of the most profound import.
It is most definitely a human rights issue and it is not confined to Florida USA. No matter where we live, and I am from Sydney Australia, we need to have a voice and stand up against such a violation of human rights.
There is no room for partisanship when it comes to taking a person's human rights away. One of the things that bothered me about the decisions by Whittemore, when he denied the Schindler petitions, is that he quite literally refused to accept that Terri was a human being who deserved to have a voice, as advocated by her real family against her husband who wanted her dead.
I would expect that people on the liberal side of politics, the ones who think that chickens kept in chicken coops feel pain and therefore must be released, should have recognized that Terri's plight was the same as what they perceived to be the plight of chickens.
As a result of my own activity I have met some wonderful people who are of a liberal bent. These people have been working very hard to ensure that there will be justice for the Schindler family. These people keep me anchored and they help me to remain firmly committed to ensuring that we combat successfully the Culture of Death.
